FAQ

General Information

Q: What’s new this year?

A: The WaBass event had to be moved to June 30th due to a scheduling conflict with the instructors, but the instructors will perform during the festival. Events will take place at the Charley Creek Inn, the Honeywell Center, the James Ford Historic Home, the Wabash County Historical Museum, and the Honeywell House.

We are focused to enhancing the arts experience and art appreciation for people of all ages.

Q: Is the Arts Fest held the same time each year?

A: Yes, the Charley Creek Arts Fest is held the last weekend of June, beginning on Friday and continuing through Sunday.

Q: Will the same artists be at the Art Show this year as last year?

A: Many of the artists from last year will be at the show this year; however, we’ve added a few new artists add a variety of styles within the various mediums.

Q: Where do I park at the Charley Creek Gardens?

A: Parking will be located at Wabash High School with shuttles running from the upper parking lot area to the Gardens on Miami Street.

Q: Are the Gardens fully accessible?

A: The Gardens may be accessed at 551 N. Miami Street for lower garden events and at 518 N. Wabash St. for upper garden events, however, the terrain is varied and includes paving, steps, and rocks. Strollers and wheelchairs will run well on the paved areas, but may not operate as smoothly on the stone path. It is possible to access the upper and lower gardens via the paved path, but it does have an incline which may make pushing difficult. Restrooms are fully accessible.

Q: Do you have restroom facilities at the Gardens?

A: Yes, they are located in the Garden Education and Resource Center. (Fully Accessible) and portable toilets are located in the lower gardens area.

Q: Why is the Charley Creek Arts Fest focused on art?

A: The purpose of CCAF is three-fold: to encourage and showcase young artists; host top performers; and build audiences for the arts where attendees can experience art in its various forms – visual and performing - as spectators, purchasers or participants. Communities with strong arts programs have been shown to improve the quality of life for its residents and create a positive economic impact.
